Identify macOS login screens

Izzy Macs are configured to use a custom login window. Most often, these Macs also have FileVault enabled. These screenshots should help you identify the differences between:

1. Microsoft Office 365 login
2. Local login
3. FileVault Unlock
4. Apple Default login

 

 

 

  1. Microsoft Office365 Login screen:

    1. All new user accounts must use this for the first time log on. (Requires your UMICH email address.)

 

  1. Local login or ‘Union’ screen:

    1. for existing user accounts already on the Mac

  1. FileVault unlock screen:

    1. unlocks the FileVault full disk encryption. NOT the login screen

  1. Default Apple login that has been reset by macOS updates.
    (note the lower left ‘Cloud Login’ button and small ‘Other User…' bubble behind UM-Support
