Issue

Specific BIOS settings will now be configured for Dell, HP, and Lenovo devices as part of the on-campus build process (OSD), "BIOS and Driver Update Task Sequence" (TS), and any Windows OS in-place upgrade (IPU).  

Resolution

To improve performance and reliability, MiWorkpsace will be configuring the following BIOS settings on supported Dell, HP, and Lenovo models.

Docking USB Ports - Enable
Fast Boot - Enable
HP Application Driver - Enable
Thunderbolt Mode - Enable
Thunderbolt PCIe Hot plug Mode - Native + Low Power Mode
Thunderbolt Security Level - PCIe and DisplayPort - No Security
Thunderbolt Type-C Ports - Enable
Virtualization Technology (VTx) - Enable
Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VTd) - Enable

Lenovo

TPM Physical Presence to Clear - Disable
Secure Rollback Prevention - Disable
BIOS Password at System Boot - Disabled
