If you identify a device with two versions of Code42 Crashplan (legacy and current) installed, complete the following steps to remove the older version. Removal of the old version will allow the current version to begin backing up the device.
*Note that an Admin account is required to uninstall the older version.
Navigate to the /Applications folder in Finder.
Right-click Crashplan.app, and then select Show Package Contents.
Open the Contents folder, and then open the Helpers folder.
Click Uninstall and enter your Admin password when prompted.
A prompt will display notifying you that the uninstall was successful. Click OK.
Open Code42 from the Applications folder.
Sign in with your full UMICH email address and enter central.crashplan.com in the Server Address field.
Click Sign In. This will open a Microsoft Login in your browser to authenticate you into the Code42.app. This might take a minute or two as your are resetting up your backup.
