Some macOS Applications are distributed exclusively through the App Store, and all require an AppleID to download and install the Applicationapplication.
To avoid AppleID credentials, and streamline the App Store distribution process, Managed Software Center will offer certain titles as an “App Store entitlement.”
When one of these titles is selected, Managed Software Center will complete a very fast install, which will request the application directly from the Mac App Store.
This entitlement process will appear fast in Managed Software Center, but depending on the size of the requested application , it may not appear in the Mac’s macOS Application folder for several minutes. (e.g. Xcode can take upwards of 30min.)
