Most printers will need to be access by a web browser with special access. Please use the MiApps(PC) or AccessPad(Mac) desktop apps to launch a web browser.
- Go to mprint.umich.edu/info and search for the printer you wish to modify
- Click on the printer to reveal more information about it. Click on the IP address to load the printer's web interface.
- If prompted to login, choose "Public User". If you don't see this option, choose "Administrator" and hit "Login". If possible, choose "Administrator (User Mode)". If you need the password, contact the MPrint team.
- When the page loads, find the "Store Address" button on the top. It should be orange in color, with an icon that resembles a mail box.
- If you're adding a new email address, click on "New Registration", select "SMB", and hit "OK". Enter the appropriate information, and hit "OK" to save.
- Enter the "Name" it will be recognized as
- Check the "Host Address" checkbox and type in the server host name (e.g. "its-files.m.storage.umich.edu")
- Enter the "File Path" you wish to scan to (e.g. "its-files/Support Services/ScanDocs")
- Type in the user's uniqname for "User ID", preceded with "UMROOT\": UMROOT\<uniqname>
- Have the user type in their Kerberos password, and hit "OK"
- If you're removing a scan destination, find the one you wish to remove and hit "Delete"
