Please note that only the most current versions of apps in Managed Software Center are checked.

We do not have the ability to check every feature in every application. If you have a critical application, we recommend getting clarification from that app’s vendor.

General Concerns with Sonoma (macOS 15)

  • Applications that want to “find devices on your local network” will pop up with an “Allow” or “Don’t Allow” dialog the first time any account logs into a computer. According to Apple, this is “Expected Behavior” and we do not have the ability to control this pop-up. Some of the common apps that may do this would be non-Safari web browsers (Chrome, Edge, etc), Davinci Resolve, the “Omni” apps, Resolume Arena, Matlab and a number of others.

  • Building a computer from scratch will show a “Welcome To Mac” screen before you can log in. As of the current betas, we can not hide that screen.

Applications

  • Screen sharing specific application windows in Zoom may fail (you may get a “screen sharing is paused” message when trying to do this) Sharing the entire screen should work.

  • ChemDraw does not license on a clean install

  • Final Cut reports the following “incompatible” plug-ins: Exponential Audio:  Nimbus, R4 and Reverb Foundry:  M7 Link (though, this is not a new issue…)
