Clearing TouchID fingerprints from a T2 mac

Users getting an error that the fingerprint limit has been reached but can not delete any fingerprints or none are shown in System Preferences / TouchID can use this terminal command to clear out the fingerprint cache on the mac.

 

sudo bioutil --purge --system

User needs to be an admin to use sudo

 

This will delete all enrolled fingerprints on the mac.
