You have identified two versions of Code42 Crashplan installed.  Here are some steps to remove the older version and get the newer Code42.app backing up your computer again.

*This requires an Admin account to uninstall the older version.

  1. Go to /Applications in Finder

  2. Right click Crashplan.app

  3. Select “Show Package Contents”

  4. Go into the Contents / Helpers folder

  5. Run the uninstall script in the Helpers folder.

    1. You will need an Admin password when prompted to do so.

  6. Once that prompts a successful uninstall, Click ok.

  7. Launch Code42.app

  8. Sign in with your UMich email address

  9. Server field should be “http://central.crashplan.com

  10. Click sign in. This will open a Microsoft Login in your browser to authenticate you into the Code42.app.  This might take a minute or two as your are resetting up your backup.
