Applications that want to “find devices on your local network” will pop up with an “Allow” or “Don’t Allow” dialog the first time any account logs into a computer. According to Apple, this is “Expected Behavior” and we do not have the ability to control this pop-up.
Some applications will ask you to “Allow” or “Don’t Allow” the ability to “access data from other apps”. Apps of note that may do this include -- but are not limited to – Matlab, Snagit, Zoom and Zotero. If you notice any additional applications doing this, please reach out to the Mac team on Slack.
Some applications that need to use “Screen & System Audio Recording” (like Zoom or Camtasia) may show a dialog box where you can “Allow For One Month” for temporary access or allow you to Open System Settings to permanently set that access.
Building a computer from scratch will show a “Welcome To Mac” screen before you can log in. As of the current release, we can not hide that screen.
