To push software to a machine, click Package SelectionsPackages and Configurations.
A list of the relevant catalog of software available to this particular system displays.
- Set the Availability to Required and then click Update to assign and push software to a machine.
- Set the Availability to Blank and then click Update to remove the package assignment.
Reminder: Be sure to click Update for each title that you modify. A brief notification will appear indicating success.
Once you've assigned a title, if you return to the System page and scroll down, you'll see the System's package selections listed.
The process to push the application to the machine has several components. You'll receive toast notifications in Otto periodically as the process proceeds.
On the left the Active Directory object is shown, and on the right the catalog of available software is shown with filters.
Click Add on the appropriate title to initiate the deployment process.
- You don't need to refresh the page, Otto will automatically refresh the page during the deployment process.
- Once the addition is confirmed the system will usually be ready to install the application within 15-30 minutes, but some applications require the user to logout.
