The Asset/CI record is used to track computers and printers. Where applicable, you can click the blue question mark next to the field name to display a definition.

Form | Asset record type: Default Asset Form (computer) or Printer Asset Form (printer). |
Name | The name of the asset |
Serial Number | The serial number of the asset. |
Service Tag | The organization-defined tag for the asset. |
Product Model | The product model of the asset. |
Status | In Use: Currently being used as a permanent machine. On Loan: Currently being used as a loaner machine. In Stock - Available: In stock, but not currently in use. In Stock - Reserved: In stock, but reserved for a known purpose. In Stock - Pending Disposal: In stock, but awaiting disposal. Retired - Disposed: Disposed of and no longer in stock. Retired - Donated: Donated and no longer in stock. Retired - RMA: Returned to vendor, defective or via warranty. Missing: Not in stock or in use - reason unknown. Missing - Lost: Confirmed as lost by NIT. Missing - Stolen: Reported as stolen and confirmed by NIT. |
Owner | The current owner of the asset. |
Location | The actual/physical location of the asset. |
Location Room | The defined space (such as a room number) where the asset is located. |
Users Tab
Most of the time, the Users tab on the asset record will have two entries:
The individual who is the Owner of the machine.
The Owner’s associated Account/Department.

Tickets Tab
The Tickets tab on the asset record will display any open tickets associated with the asset. Click +New Ticket to create a new ticket and associate it with the asset, or click +Add Ticket to associate an existing ticket with the asset.

People App
In addition to searching for a specific asset record from the main Assets list, you can also open the People app from the blue waffle menu, and then search for an individual person in order to locate their associated assets.
